About Pat Mulligan Jones/"The Prairie Parson"

I was born with the given name of Patricia Kaye Mulligan, in Kankakee, Illinois (USA), August 23, 1953. My parents are Virgie (McIntosh) Mulligan, and the late James L. Mulligan. I am divorced, and have one daughter, Vinessa Kaye Jones, who is working on her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at a Grad School in the USA state of Utah. (I thank God for Vinessa! She has been such a special blessing in my life!)
Most of my life was spent in the entertainment field -- music, acting, producing, directing, and so forth for stage, churches, radio, TV, videos, and so forth. For several years I have been privately teaching Music (Voice, a variety of American and foreign musical instruments, and music arranging), Creative Writing, Drama and Puppetry. For seven years, I was a BMI music publisher, and am still a free lance music arranger and music printer. I've been a free lance writer/ghostwriter since I was about 16 years old -- different types of mostly Christian writings for various publications, and script writing for radio, and so forth. Also, I've published some of my photography in some publications, and for various occasions.
Some people have wondered why I'm also called "The Prairie Parson." I was given this character name of "Prairie Parson" for the Christian column I write for the international, secular "Tradition" magazine, edited by international traditional country, gospel and folk recording artist, Robert (Bob) Everhart. I also use this character name for my various types of ministries, under the title of "Prairie Parson Ministries."
In especially more recent years, I have also been involved with our local Knobel, and now Corning Church of the Nazarene (Corning, Arkansas, in the USA), that the Knobel church merged with in August 1998. But the Lord has also had me involved in several types of ministries. A few examples of the types of ministries, are Music, Writing/Journalism, Children and Youth, as well as Adults, Radio, Drama, Puppetry, Videos, Preaching, Missions, Counseling, Sunday School and Caravans Teaching, Conducting Bible Studies , Church Board Secretary, former County Co-ordinator for Pat Robertson's Christian Coalition, and ministering to people involved with cults, New Age Movement, or their families and/or friends who have been worried about them.
I love the Lord above all things. And I want to do all that I can to help win others to the Lord, and to do whatever else He wants me to do. Jesus has performed many miracles in my life, and in others' lives. I have a long list of praise stories about what all Jesus has done for me and my family, as well as for others, including bringing me back to work more for Him after several people believe that I "clinically died" at our local Wal-Mart store on October 2, 1999. (Long story in itself.) I am a walking, talking, writing PROOF that GOD is ALIVE, prayers DO get answered, Jesus CAN meet ALL our needs, and He STILL performs MIRACLES! Praises be to the LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
