In the Bible it says that we should go somewhere where we can be alone. It is good to be alone with God free from distractions.
Mat 14:23 And after he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into the mountain apart to pray: and when even was come, he was there alone.
Mat 6:6 When you pray, go into a room alone and close the door. Pray to your Father in private. He knows what is done in private, and he will reward you.
If someone needs help then pray with them.
I try to pray where ever I am. If a problem occurs or I want to thank God for something, then I pray then.
