Psalms 121:1-8 CEV (A song for worship.) I look to the hills! Where will I find help? 2. It will come from the LORD, who created the heavens and the earth. 3. The LORD is your protector, and he won't go to sleep or let you stumble. 4. The protector of Israel doesn't doze or ever get drowsy. 5. The LORD is your protector, there at your right side to shade you from the sun. 6. You won't be harmed by the sun during the day or by the moon at night. 7. The LORD will protect you and keep you safe from all dangers. 8. The LORD will protect you now and always wherever you go.
Matthew 10:16-20 CEV I am sending you like lambs into a pack of wolves. So be as wise as snakes and as innocent as doves. 17. Watch out for people who will take you to court and have you beaten in their meeting places. 18. Because of me, you will be dragged before rulers and kings to tell them and the Gentiles about your faith. 19. But when someone arrests you, don't worry about what you will say or how you will say it. At that time you will be given the words to say. 20. But you will not really be the one speaking. The Spirit from your Father will tell you what to say.
