Bethany Ministry is a Non – denominational Christian Organization that has been in operation since January 2004. It is committed to reaching out to the lost and equipping church leaders in Africa to effectively and holistically minister to their neighborhood

and raise a generation that will serve the purposes of God. We do this through mass evangelism (Crusades), church planting, pastor’s conferences & seminars and availing relevant materials to the leaders.

Origin

After a period of about 5 years of working in a church in unreached parts of Laikipia, the Lord started to deeply show Pastor Elijah the great need in all other parts of Laikipia District. He then worked for a team from the church and began preaching in the neighboring village and planted a church of which one of his disciples became the pastor of this church (Pastor Jesse). After this the Lord convinced him that the Lord not only called them for Laikipia but as well Kenya and Africa at large. We began moving out to other towns, to challenging churches to reach the lost. From this we joined hands with pastor Harun, whom since we joined hands have been a great help in this Ministry. And from this Bethany Ministries was born.

Several months there was a truck involved in a traffic accident while carrying a load of grain. The driver had swerved to avoid hitting a car and he hit a tree. The impact had caused the load of grain to hit the back of the cab with such force that the driver was pinned between the bent cab seat and steering wheel and was knocked unconsciously. To make matter worse, the fuel tank had ruptured and was leaking, threatening fire and explosion.

Other motorists stopped and were standing around wondering what to do when the man in a pickup truck stopped to see the problem. He immediately jumped out of his car to rescue the man.

When the rescue was complete, a policeman asked the man who had rescued the truck driver, why didn't you wait for us to arrive so we could have helped you? The man replied with a beautiful answer to the policeman's question, he said Mister, you come to some thing in life that can not wait and this was one if them.''

It seems to me that we in the church have come upon one of those times when we too are confronted by some things that can't wait. Our world needs the Gospel of Christ with urgency that should cause to do our sacrificial best to see the people of earth do not have to wait.

As I read fourth Chapter of the Gospel of JOHN, I hear Jesus saying to his disciples that they were at a time in their ministry of telling the good news of Salvation for all people that they couldn't wait for anything that might slow them in their work The story is so familiar that we need not to review it in depth. We recall that Jesus and His disciples were passing near a Samaritan village at noontime. They were tired and hungry and Jesus sat down on the well while the disciples went into the Village to buy some food.

While the disciples were gone, Jesus engaged a woman of Samaritan in conversation about herself, about living water, and true worship of God. The result of the conversation was that the sinful woman realized that Jesus was the Christ and was so overjoyed in her experience of believing that she left her jar to rush to town to tell everybody who would listen that she had found the Messiah

As the woman went away, the disciples returned with provisions for a meal. Jesus too was happy. He didn't want food at that moment. The disciples didn't understand his refusal to eat, nor the word of Jesus when he said that he had food to eat they didn't know about, for his food and drink were to do his father's will.

As Jesus talked with his disciples they heard the noise of a crowd of people moving in their direction. Jesus told his disciples that while the normal growing season from planting to harvest might be 4 months, they must work on a different time schedule. The seed which Jesus had planted in the heart of the woman a few minutes earlier was already bearing fruit. Some things can't wait, and one of these things is the eternal salvation of the lost Africa. As the man in truck got out of the car to save the driver, we also need to get out of our way to save Africa, out of our business to God business, out of our family to brighten the Venerable Children lives

Some things can not wait

  1. Needs in Africa is Calling Christians not to wait.
    1. Need for food, shelter and education.
    2. Needs for New Churches
    3. Needs for Quality Leadership
    4. Needs for rehabilitation centers
  2. The message we have in Christ can not wait to be delivered.
    1. The Pastors Must hear {sponsor a pastoral conference}
    2. The Churches must rise,{sponsor revival meeting in Churches}
    3. The Lost World Must hear about the loving Christ. Africa needs a Saviour.(sponsor Church planting and mass crusades]

NB. The average cost to train a pastor for 5 days is $ 43.This includes conference materials, accommodation and training.

You can also be involved in providing uniform for Kids in School, especially the Orphans.One uniform for a Primary School Kids is amount to $ 20.This is a great need becouse the Kenya Government have given free primary education.So the only thing getting the needy kids out of School is Uniforms and Food.
