CHRISTIAN AMERICANS, STAND UP!

I originally wrote "Christian Americans, Stand Up!" as a song, with a dramatic reading/prayer. This much is what recording artist/ "Tradition" magazine editor, Bob Everhart, published in our magazine. When I recorded this, I sang the Chorus twice, and recorded instrumental music behind the dramatic reading, with the help of my recording engineer, Doug Masters. Christians in other countries should also stand up for God, of course.
Romans 1:16 says, "For I am NOT ASHAMED of the gospel of CHRIST: for it is the POWER of GOD unto SALVATION to EVERY ONE that BELIEVETH…." I believe, don't you?

Let's stay UNITED in PRAYER,
For the needs everywhere,
"UNITED under GOD" we should stay.
No matter what others say,
STAND UP for GOD, in which we trust,
And for our FREEDOM in CHRIST, we MUST!

My Prayer, as an American Christian Citizen:
Our dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for our great nation, the United States of America. Your plans were for our blessed nation to remain UNITED under YOU, with our TRUST in YOU. We were to be an example to the lost world of a genuine CHRISTIAN land, where her Christians would spread the good news of your wonderful plan of salvation. We were to keep on enjoying our freedom as a nation, as well as spiritually.
But…Father…our nation, as a whole, has changed so much since she was born. What has happened to us? Enemies of Your name and Your plans are trying to take away our religious freedom. Some people have already succeeded in getting You, Your name, and Your Word, OUT of our school systems, parts of our government, and other places. They want Your name OFF our money system and national Pledge of Allegiance. And they want to stop displaying Your Ten Commandments, Christmas manger scenes in some public places, and all such as that………
Lord, there are people who don't want our great nation to STAY UNITED under YOU! Even some American Christians say that everyone has freedom to worship whichever gods they want, or to become gods or goddesses within themselves….I know we have freedom, at least for now, to worship ANY god, even if its not You, the ONLY TRUE GOD…..But, Father…….does that same freedom mean that Your enemies of other nations can freely invade our great nation, and threaten to kill us American Christians and others who do NOT choose to worship THEIR gods?…..Oh, Father!…….WHAT is HAPPENING to our American religious freedom that our forefathers and modern soldiers have so desperately fought for?
Our forefathers and modern soldiers have fought and even died for us Americans to have our freedom from another country's rule and bondage over us, and for our religious freedom. Some have been Prisoners of War and Missing in Action. Several of our American soldiers have been husbands and wives, and possibly fathers and mothers. ALL of them, though, were children of parents who could feel a sacrifice of their offspring, in order for US AMERICANS to enjoy freedom and peace…..
Of course, You, PERSONALLY, know ALL about what it is like to sacrifice a Child, for the freedom and peace of others, don't You? You sacrificed Your ONLY SON, Jesus Christ, so that we Americans and all others around the world, would have an opportunity to be freed from the bondage of sin and Hell. Jesus, as both God and man, went through trials, tortures and pain so bad that we HUMANS can not even comprehend WHAT it is like! He was then put on a cruel Cross, and died for all of OUR sins, when He, Himself, was innocent and without any sins……
Father, I know it must hurt to see so many Americans and others - especially Christians - NOT stand up for Christ like we should….Some are afraid to let others know that they believe in You, and seemingly ignore Your Son, Jesus. Jesus had time to die for us, but how much time do we try to daily spend with HIM?…….When others seek for peace and freedom, how often do we share JESUS and Your plan for salvation?…..WHY do so MANY Christians grow more quiet when others say bad things about You and Your Son?…..If we Christians don't start STANDING UP for You, more Lord, I'm afraid we'll start falling for everything!….Have our knees stiffened so much from NOT kneeling enough in prayer , that we can't STAND UP for Christ like we used to, as a Christian nation?….If we were arrested, Lord, and charged for being Christians, would there be enough evidence of JESUS in our LIVES to CONVICT us "GUILTY as CHARGED!"…..
Oh, Heavenly Father, please help us Americans to pray more for the lost, UNITED under YOU, and get back to the basics of trusting more in YOU! Please help us to start standing up more for You, as Christian examples of what You intended for us to be like, regardless of what OTHERS say…..
Again, Father…..thank You so much for our great nation, America. May we spend more time, forever, STANDING UP for YOU and her, KEEP our religious freedom, and SHARE YOU with the lost world, for an EVERLASTING PEACE!…..
Oh, Father……please bless America……..And, Father…….may America truly learn to BLESS YOU BACK!…..
