"Tradition Magazine" is the international magazine where I write my regular “Prairie Parson” gospel columns. The editor/publisher is international country/bluegrass/gospel/folk recording artist, Bob Everhart. "Tradition Magazine" is the communication vehicle of the National Traditional Country Music Association, founded at the same time the association was founded. It is a bi-monthly magazine going to over 3,500 readers devoted to traditional country, bluegrass, and other old -time musical art forms. The "Traditional Music Society" (and all of its members), originally located in Kentucky by Oscar and Geneva Sullivan, merged into this association in 1999.
Subscription rates are $25 per year, which includes the annual dues to the National Traditional Country Music Association.
"Tradition Magazine" spearheaded the drive for a "fair" collection rate and payment rate for all original music, especially in the area of "live" performances of bluegrass and traditional country music. How is it possible for Europe to "pay" a performance royalty for every song performed "live" but the United States cannot?
"Tradition Magazine" spearheaded the drive to bring DAT into the United States. President Bob Everhart went to California to represent a large contingency of acoustic music makers and performers to assure this advanced technology would be made available to "all" who wanted it in the United States.
"Tradition Magazine" accepts freelance articles for publication, written with old-time and traditional music in mind. Payment is usually in copies.

The magazine is printed on newspaper stock without color availability.
FULL PAGE: $350 US dollars (14 inches x 10 inches)
HALF PAGE: $170 US dollars (7 inches x 10 inches)
QUARTER PAGE: $100 US dollars (7 inches x 5 inches)
BUSINESS CARD: $50 US dollars
