What Others Have Said About Me
"As a fellow Nazarene, I have known Patricia Jones for many years now, and would like to comment on her message of love, respect, and music. She has transcribed nearly all of my original music to a wonderfully high degree of ability, and she has also arranged performances of my music on radio and in the concert hall.
Throughout her life, Pat has always placed her Lord Jesus first, and what He wants her to do. She has carried out this incredible trust with magnificent charm and ability.
Pat has been writing our 'Prairie Parson' column for our international 'Tradition' magazine since nearly its inception some 25 years ago. This column has become one of our most popular segments of the magazine, with many people looking forward to it in each issue. We, too, on a personal basis, look forward to what Pat will write about, since each one of her columns have been different and inspired.
It is with a full heart that I proclaim Pat Jones as one of the best Christians I know, and one of the finest persons I have ever met. Her heart has always been open to 'need,' no matter where she confronts it. She is one of Jesus' own, and no one can remove that from her."

"Over the past decade I've seen Pat Mulligan Jones grow from a scribbler to a first-class writer of powerful themes. She lives what she believes and expresses herself well.
The love in Pat's heart has sustained her through dramatic episodes of danger and relocation. Each challenge has polished her writing and musical skills. I am happy to recommend her for any assignment."

"It was a beautiful Labor Day weekend at Bob Everhart's 'Old-Time Country Music and Bluegrass Festival in Avoca, Iowa, where I first met the 'Prairie Parson', Patricia Mulligan Jones. Both of us were there to assist in entertaining the 30,000+ international crowd that attends this magnificent festival each year. (You should make plans to attend it over the next Labor Day weekend.)
Patty is an energetic entertainer, so willing to help others any way she can. Her energy finally caught up with her on October 2, 1999, though. Here is Patty's story:
'My Pastor at the time (Rev. Buddy Ellington) had finally sold Wal-Mart on doing a one-hour church puppet and clown show in front of the Corning, Arkansas store. This was to be the first of many monthly performances. I was the director/producer and one of the puppeteers of the shows, so I was very nervous when some of my performers had not arrived yet, thirty minutes before show time. I told Brother Buddy I needed an additional prop for one of the puppet skits. So I rushed into the store to buy the needed prop."Thank you, Pat, for many years of helping me and others. I do not entertain much now. I have a tax preparation business that includes an on-line filing service at www.1040.com. I look forward to coming to Corning, Arkansas again one day, and to do a show with you! The best to you always, Pat Mulligan Jones."
As I was leaving the store, I became dizzy. Thinking I had been rushing around too much, I stopped and put my head down for a few minutes, and held on to the handle of the exit door. Suddenly, the dizziness increased, and my arms became weak and I fell into a tunnel-like thing. I could see myself lying on the floor, lifeless, with people standing around me. I wanted to speak, but people could not hear me. I saw people around me, and know some were praying for me.
I finally came to, but was like a basket case. It took two or three people to get me up and into a wheel chair. This all took place in about thirty minutes' time. Needless to say, this blew the premier performance of a long running project! Some people believe I 'clinically died', but that Jesus brought me back to do more work for Him on Earth.
The doctors and government can't fully understand what happened to me, but I KNOW that GOD was there with me. Prayers were sent up from all over the world. Today, I am a walking, LIVING PROOF that God STILL exists, Jesus ANSWERS prayers, and that Jesus has NEVER STOPPED performing MIRACLES!
I should have listened to my good friend, Leo Suiter, who is a dynamic entertainer, when he said, 'Slow down so you can live an old age like me.' "
